Attentive Fragment no. 3 - Original Outdoor Mixed Media Artwork on Paper
'Watercolour turned to ice as I worked.'
This is an original Attentive Fragment* - a small focused artwork created as part of my daily outdoor painting practice.
Created within a deliberately limited window of time and working directly from life to capture a moment of attention, rather than a finished scene. Being outdoors means responding to changing light, movement, weather and sound - these marks are made in real time, in direct relationship with the place.
This piece was painted in a garden in Burgundy.
- Original artwork (one of a kind)
- Measuring 15.2cm (15.7cm if including border on left) by 22.7cm.
- Materials: Watercolour, Gouache & Artist's Crayon. On Watercolour Paper.
- Unframed.
- Signed with initials on the front.
- Posted flat, carefully packaged.
*Attentive Fragments are intentionally small and loosely worked. You may see unfinished edges, visible layers, traces of the process and effects from weather events. This fragment has a pencil line on the left, forming a margin.
Fragments can be kept as individual pieces, or gathered to create your own personal constellation.
